"Dodgers Place RHP Blake Treinen (Arm Injury) on Injured List, Reinstate RHP Evan Phillips"

Los Angeles Dodgers Place Right-Handed Pitcher Blake Treinen (Forearm Injury) on Injured List, Activate Right-Handed Pitcher Evan Phillips

The Los Angeles Dodgers have put experienced right-hander Blake Treinen on the 15-day disabled list due to tightness in his forearm, while right-hander Evan Phillips has been activated for the first time this year.

Treinen had been dealing with discomfort in his forearm for some time, but it worsened during a throwing session on Friday. The 36-year-old had a record of 0-2 in eight games this season, with two saves and an ERA of 3.38.

According to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Treinen will have imaging done on his throwing arm on Saturday.

\"He was experiencing some tightness in his forearm, so we want to figure out what's going on,\" Roberts stated. \"We don't know how long he'll be out. I appreciate Blake for letting us know about his discomfort.\"

In his 11-year career, which includes five seasons with the Dodgers, Treinen has a record of 43-36 with 82 saves and an ERA of 2.79 in 507 appearances (seven starts).

Phillips, who is 30 years old, has been sidelined with a rotator cuff injury that kept him off the team's World Series roster last year. In the previous season, Phillips had a record of 5-1 with 18 saves and an ERA of 3.62 in 61 relief appearances.

Over the course of his seven-year career, including the last four with the Dodgers, Phillips has a record of 16-12 with an ERA of 3.43 and 45 saves in 243 appearances (one start).
