Breaking News: Mets and RHP Ryne Stanek Reach 1-Year Contract Agreement

The New York Mets have reportedly reached an agreement with right-handed reliever Ryne Stanek for a one-year contract, according to MLB.com.

Details of the financial terms have not been disclosed at this time.

Last year, Stanek, who is 33 years old, joined the Mets from the Seattle Mariners during the trade deadline and recorded a 1-0 record with a 6.06 ERA in 17 relief appearances. In 2024, he had a 6-3 record with seven saves and a 4.38 ERA in 46 relief appearances with the Mariners.

Having been a part of the Houston team that won the World Series, Stanek has accumulated a 17-17 record with 11 saves and a 3.65 ERA in 401 career appearances (56 starts) with the Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, Astros, Mariners, and Mets.
